Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity is excited to be building in Rimrock 2022 through 2024. A single family home is being built and located within walking distance to the Beaver Creek School. The home was started in December of 2022. The family has spent many hours (Sweat Equity) working on building their own home with Construction Manager Greg Fox and other volunteers.
Summer 2023 construction begins on another lot. This single family home is projected to be finished before Christmas 2023. The family has begun Sweat Equity and a groundbreaking event will be announced as early as June 2023.
Late Winter 2024 Verde Valley Habitat will be building on Natchez (on the mesa). Applications are still being taken for this location. Applicants must qualify before construction can begin. Please click HERE if you are interested in filling out a prescreening form.
We will need lots of volunteers to make these build happen! Its takes a community coming together to build these homes. Sedona Tri-Plex Town-homes
More than 30 years ago…
In recognition of this eventful day, this October 1, Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity will celebrate the formal launch of their Sedona Townhome Build of a triplex of townhomes. Jim Lawler, President of Lawler Construction and long-time Habitat volunteer, is leading the construction project.
The Sedona build project began in 2013 with Ron & Linda Martinez, of Shrader Martinez Construction, who have championed for years, the need for affordable workforce housing in Sedona. With the purchase of the lot in 2013, and the current need for workforce housing in Sedona being so great, timing for this project couldn’t be better.
Cassandra Chatter and Iris Medina became new homeowners on June 19, 2020. Each of them purchased one of the three bedroom homes. The two bedroom home doesn’t yet have a buyer; applicants are currently being pre-screened for qualification. Stay Tuned for the future announcement in 2020 of a third homeowner.
