Discover Your Heart for Volunteering

Kaylee Felio began volunteering at Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity about three months ago. She comes from a family of volunteers and knew about our mission and decided to find out what Habitat was all about. After attending one of our Volunteer Orientations, she expressed interest in trying a variety of volunteer positions. After some time working the phones, she realized she really enjoyed the interactions she had with customers in our ReStore Thrift Store, and requested to spend more time there. We were more than happy to comply, of course!
We strive to find the perfect match for our Volunteers passions and talents. Kaylee has enjoyed her time with us so much, she has even asked to volunteer on her days off from her regular “9 to 5” job. How lucky are we?
Kaylee recently tested the waters with the crew of our Critical Home Repair Program (CHRP). After finishing a day working on a wheelchair ramp in Camp Verde, she commented that, “the crew was great, and very helpful. It was fun to be able to help”.
Habitat for Humanity is known for building lasting relationships between our volunteers. Have you ever considered volunteering, but were not sure what to do, or where to start?
