A little rain didn’t stop Habitat for Humanity from our mission!

It was wet Monday on October 1, 2018. Our outside venue, to celebrate the kickoff of our Sedona Tri-Plex build along with World Habitat Day celebration, was looking like a bust due to the hurricane. But a little rain wasn’t going to keep this Habitat team from celebrating with our friends.

VVHFH Hospitality Committee

After a few phone calls, Brenda Redel and her team at the Sedona Community Center answered our call for help and provided us shelter from the storm. Over to 50 of our closest donors, sponsors, government officials, homeowners, staff & volunteers joined in the celebration to kickoff our Sedona Peach Lane Tri-Plex home build. The crowd was updated on where we are in the project, and how we will be moving forward from here, from our special guests, Mayor Sandy of City of Sedona; Jim Lawler, Contractor for the project and Habitat Homeowner; and Shandra Ryan with her daughter Genavine.

Our hospitality committee did a wonderful job providing food for everyone along with an awesome cake for the occasion.  Thanks to everyone who joined in to make this a successful event!
