Next New Habitat Homeowner, Rachel Hernandez
- Rachel Hernandez is a single Mom and cares for her disabled son, Jamie Valenzuela. She grew up in Clarkdale and moved to Casa Grande when she was 16 years old. She worked there at a nursing home as an activities director’s assistant and realized her love of the people there. She comes from this area as her grandparents and their parents lived in Jerome working in the mining industry. She moved back here three years ago after the hardship of managing the medical bills for Jamie, to move in with her family in Clarkdale, AZ.
- What resonates with her about our mission and purpose is the people here. She loves to shop here and also enjoys taking recycled things and turning them around into beautiful and usable items to help further the mission and purpose here. Rachel likes to volunteer and help people. She has a heart for ministry.
